We’ve released new functions that we hope will reduce some of the daily work for admissions committees. A quick summary:

  1. See which applicants applied on each day.
  2. Keep records of your bulk messages.
  3. Parents can review submitted forms.
  4. Lock or unlock all student forms, allowing applicants to edit.

See below for screenshots and more detailed explanations of the new features.

1.) See which applicants applied on each day.

The bar graph under the Dashboard view is now hyperlinked.

Clicking on December 10 in the above screenshot, for example, will show the 6 applicants who submitted forms on that day.

2.) Keep records of your bulk messages.

Admissions staff no longer have to wonder who received a mass email, or when. Under the Dashboard view, users will see which member of the admissions staff sent the message, when it was sent, and who received the message.

Bulk Message ApplicantsIn the above screenshot, clicking on *63 applicants* will provide the full list of email recipients.

The email is also recorded on each individual applicant’s profile.

3.) Parents can review submitted forms.

We now provide an option for parents to review their submitted information via the Dashboard > Checklist.

Applicant Checklist

If the item on the checklist is a form, parents can click Review Form to see submitted information.

3.) Lock or unlock all student forms, allowing applicants to edit their submitted information.

By default, OpenApply will lock forms once they have been submitted, which prevents applicants from making changes. To allow applicants to make changes, admissions staff now have the option to Lock or Un-lock forms for all students.

To allow changes to individual student forms, please navigate to the specific applicant and click Edit Applicant. The option to unlock the student’s forms will be on the righthand side.

We hope you enjoy these updates to OpenApply, please let us know if you have any more feature requests or ideas.
